Founded in 1986 by Mr. Victor Kresic, GRM opened its doors on lower Fifth Avenue in New York City as the exclusive representative of Garriga, one of the finest mills in Spain. Garriga’s beautiful cloths were immediately accepted by the tailoring industry. GRM used this success as an opportunity to expand, searching England and Italy for the finest fabrics. Mr. Kresic’s efforts brought new cloths such as PIUMA and INTRIGUE to the market. In 1995, Gordon Goldstein joined the GRM team bringing with him 25 years of experience in the tailoring industry including representing Scabal, a famous Belgian Woolen merchant. Mr. Goldstein has ensured the growth and continued success of GRM.

Business is not just business for Victor and Gordon. It is a passion and love for the work. The relationships that are developed mean more than just a sale. To see their cloth on a person is rewarding because they know not only what went into making the garment, but also what went into making the cloth that was used. It is that passion that sets GRM apart from its competitors. GRM does not view itself so much as a “company” but as a boutique merchant with a strong focus on personal relationships.
